tryouts

well tryouts were posted this morning and i'm okay with the results. there weren't too many bigger parts. i'm the preacher, which might be kinda weird with me being a girl, but oh well. my friend, the stage manager said maybe i could be a guy, but i don't know. probably not. i get to sing a little. my friend arica got the lead, but she's not sure if she wants it because she doesn't know if she can do the singing. but she's fit for the part and everyone knows it. the performance dates are april 7 & 8th. it's going to take a lot of work with the actors and also w/ the set. it's supposed to be a really hard, but good set. love you all!

weekly dr. visit

well, i went for my dr. visit today and there is no real exciting news. i am 1 cm dialated and 75% effaced... she explained what that meant, but i still really don't get it. she said basically things are moving right about where they should be. the good news is that my baby pool date is march 13th. so i didn't choose a date too soon. any other guesses? caron you should post ja, justin and your guess... i will buy the winner of the baby pool, or whoever is closest without going over a special treat.

well i can finally post now! thanks caron! obviously it worked. so not much going on here, but i have softball and musical starting soon and actually.....hmm....tryouts are tomorrow. i should practice that.

the musical is called "money, power, murder, lust, revenge, and marvelous clothes." it's basically a spoof off a soap opera, and i'm not sure what part i'm going to try out for/get, but i don't know if i want the lead, because it has kissing parts in that, and i don't think i'd be that comfortable with kissing a guy i don't like, and it sounds like the guy who's going to get the part of the guy i'd be kissing, is going to be my best friend's boyfriend....kinda wierd. but it should be a fun one to do! i'm tyring to get jordan to help out witht it, like with set, lights, sound, or something like that, but he's being kinda stubborn.

and for right now, it's just open gyms for softball, but i'm kinda sore from going the first time. i'm not too enthusiastic about doing it, but if i don't want to take p.e. and drop speech class, i have to take a sport, and i'm not doing track. but i think that once i get into the swing of things, it'll get better. it's probably just because i'm lazy.

AND!!! i know a kid that's on american idol!! his name is david radford and he's really nice and he sings like michael buble. he went to the winter retreat that our church went to last year, but he didn't go this year because he was in hollywood! he's made it to the top 24, and the top 12 guys. i don't know how far he's going to go, since he's not really what most people would call and "american idol," but i hope he does well.

and i'm feeling much better since the flu i had last week, but i don't have all my energy back yet. i really hope you guys don't get it, because it's terrible! so that's my soap opera i guess, if you can call it that. hope things are going well with y'all! i love you guys!

Okay folks, here they are in all of their glory. This was taken at around 11 AM, when I had just finished two loads of laundry, cleaning the bedroom floors and washing the dishes. This picture may be especially shocking to those who really know what my ankles normally look like, along with my calves and thighs...

Anyway, here's to five more weeks and four more days, TOPS. Love you all and hope your ankles don't look like this.

Confusion...

In light of the last post, which Justin posted, not I, I am confused. There were several comments that made me think that Caron's name was being used by Joyce also... I, of course, have no problem with this, I am just confused.

In other news, my feet have swelled disgustingly. I am hoping to take a picture and post it. I was sitting on my left ankle today for about fifteen minutes. When I got up, my right ankle looked like an elephant's ankle and my left ankle was squashed to skinny proportions... man, my body is messed up! I called the nurse about it, because even when the swelling does go away, it comes back within about ten minutes of standing up. She didn't think it was a big deal and encouraged me to walk around on these loco feet.

Justin left this morning for work today, the very first day they are open for business. I think we are both relieved as things will start to become routine again. The past few months have been a little strange, often with both of us home, and zero structure. Not that I don't want Justin to be here at home, but it will be nice to get back into a swing of things... for a couple weeks until little bambino comes.

Yesterday Justin and I went to the office with Rik and Wanda and several of their friends to pray over the office. One of their friends, Larry, looked at me and said, "it's a boy. i know." and sure enough I said, "you are right!" He asked when my due date was and when i said March 25th, he said, "I don't think so. (pause...) Your baby will be here within two weeks." Perhaps he is a prophet! If so, get ready!!

This is a long post, and probably boring. Oh well. Cait and Jord need to start posting... everyone, post, post, post...................................................

The baby came early! Today's date is the 10th of Feb. Let's see how often people check this blog. I'm going to need some people posting if I'm going to start looking at this on a regular basis and bringing interesting pictures and conversations to the table.
